La señorita Brill

"La señorita Brill" de Katherine Mansfield es un cuento que narra un día en la vida de una mujer solitaria y envejecida llamada Miss Brill. Cada domingo, Miss Brill asiste al parque para observar a la gente y escuchar la música de la banda, imaginando que es parte de una obra de teatro. Sin embargo, su ilusión se rompe cuando escucha a una joven pareja burlándose de ella, llamándola "vieja" y "ridícula". Este comentario la lleva a confrontar su soledad y la vacuidad de su vida, y regresa a casa devastada, enfrentando la cruda realidad de su existencia.
