Mmmh, not always my kind of language but I can cope

I enjoying listening to this series but a few things are seriously going into a cheesy and I.m.o. absurdly sexist direction. The author even comments on the sexism ingrained in her imagery by having the protagonist say that requiring someone who is "pure of body" im order to summon a special unicorn is just that, it it doesn't keep her from having the protagonist get engaged while she is still considering herself a virgin (whatever that is) and depicting her sometimes pathological tendencies to turn the other cheek and not stand up for herself as pureness of heart or something. Apparently, this pureness of heart something that makes sexy player types chance their cheating ways for you and makes unicorns give you their golden horns. The book is fun to listen to mostly but some of it is really a bit much.
