⭐️3.5 stars now I understand why people say this book did not restore them. RESTORE ME DID INFACT NOT RESTORE ME THE PLOT TWIST AT THE END- This book is about Juliette, as the new supreme commander. She is naive, and doesn’t know much. This book feels “all over the place” because it’s the start of the second “trilogy” in the series, which is fair. We are introduced to many new characters and expand on the view and knowledge of the shatter me universe. The entire book centers around Juliette- not knowing a lot about the world now, and the political science behind everything and how to rule, Throughout the book we see Warner’s thought process and his point of view, “justifying” what he kept from Juliette. Personally, my opinion on Warner stands. He is not my number one book boyfriend BECAUSE of what he kept from Juliette. I still understand why he did what he did but at the same time it could’ve been better. Juliette pissed me off sometimes too, especially when she got mad at Warner for lying. She could so easily see where he was coming from, and that he just shared information he recently found out. I don’t know how to feel about castle. He knew this information, and much more, for example knowing that everything was an experiment, and still pursuing his own interests. I loved Kenji and Juliette in this book, Kenji in particular, always there for everyone. We didn’t hear much at all about Adam or James, only in relation to Warner. I find it nice how Adam and Warner are kind of bonding. All in all, this book is about Juliette and hwr trying to work as a supreme commander, with a bunch of shot happening behind her back that she doesn’t know about or find out until later, where she goes out of control. Events in this book include her chopping hwr hair, us meeting Nazeera and haider, kenji’s feelings for nazeera, Lena expressing transphobia and announcing her status to Juliette, basically being a bitch then being shut down by JULIETTEEEEE, Warner having a panic attack and Kenji helping him, Juliette killing 500 people with her VOICE and getting taken by her parents to Oceania and finding out her name is ELLA and that she has a sister.
