Xuanzang and his disciples came upon the Kingdom of Zhuzi, where the king was seriously ill. To cure his illness, the king issued a royal notice to find a good doctor. The monkey saw it and cured the king with three pills. The king was suffering from love sickness because his queen had been caught by a demon. The demon had three bells which could emit fire, smoke, and sand. With the help of the queen, the monkey stole the bells and subdued the demon. After Guanyin came, the demon was forced to revert to his true appearance, which was the steed of Guanyin. The monkey released the queen, helping the royal family reunite.
