The past was buried.
Now someone's digging it up.
A quiet North Yorkshire market town wakes to a brutal murder.
DI Kumar and DS Stoker are thrust into a case that feels random—until a second body appears, bearing the same chilling signature.
This wasn’t impulse.
It was patience.
The victims are respected. Influential. Pillars of the community.
So why are they being executed?
Under DCI Finnegan’s steady command, the team uncover a buried legacy: an 80s Church-backed scheme for disadvantaged boys known as Happy Camp—praised by the community, protected by power, and shielded from scrutiny.
Now someone is passing judgement.
And they believe they are righteous.
As the profile tightens and the suspect pool narrows, a single revelation turns the investigation on its head.
The killer isn’t hiding.
They’re in plain sight — if you know where to look.
Set against the stark beauty of North Yorkshire, Happy Camp is a dark, twist-driven British police procedural with razor-edged tension and a sting in the tail.
