Complete and unabridged, with 60 full-page plates by Giuseppe Abbati, Vincenzo Cabianca and Telemaco Signorini. Florentine street legends taken down from the tellers - witches, buried treasure, the spirits of the Arno, the old gods surviving as saints. Leland collected among people the antiquarians never asked, and this is the strangest of his books after Aradia. This edition is bound with sixty plates of painting, among them views of the Arno and Florence by Giuseppe Zocchi and works by Arvid Aae and Giuseppe Abbati.
