Swedish author Cornelia Famn lives a secluded life. She spends most of the year in her beach house on the East Coast of the United States, where she is writing her next book, and every summer she travels to Sweden and then onwards to hike somewhere in the world. Cornelia values her privacy deeply and successfully avoids all forms of publicity. However, this will gradually change when she begins a passionate romance with the American global superstar Beverly Glosh, and she is ultimately forced to choose between her familiar life and love. The choice is easy, but the consequences are devastating.Liberatio is a depiction of how quickly happiness can turn into tragedy. It shows how society's ever-increasing demand for news and sensations, along with the celebrity media's exploitation of it, can destroy people's lives. But it is also a story about a woman who is determined to destroy the dark forces behind it and, once and for all, free the world from the madness.
