According to the author what the Islamic world has experirnced at the beggining of the XXI Century is a revolt against brutal west imperialism and a quest for meaning after secularization.. More than the west what he's referring to is the ideas of the Enlightening. The west is also in the quest for meaning. Will both worlds get together? Doesn't seem to be the case.
