Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (UK 1859-1930) Escritor y médico nacido en Escocia, principalmente conocido por haber creado al famosísimo personaje Sherlock Holmes, el detective más conocido de todos los tiempos, versionado para TV y cine de forma cíclica. Maurice Leblanc (11 de diciembre de 1864 - 6 de noviembre de 1941) fue un escritor francés, autor de varias novelas policiacas y de aventuras. Por encargo de Pierre Laffite, director de larevista Je sais Tout, en 1905 publicó «La detención de Arsène Lupin»: las primeras aventuras del caballero ladrón. Esta publicación tuvo un éxito inmediato y el ladrón de guante blanco protagonizaría una serie de una veintena de libros. Lupin se ha convertido en un personaje clásico de la literatura universal, cuya fama solo puede ser comparada con la de Sherlock Holmes.
