Jess lives with her mum and younger brother on a rough estate. She is struggling with two major issues in her life: she is bullied at school, and her dad has moved out of the family home because of a drink problem. When their landlord threatens the family with eviction, everything seems to be falling apart, until Jess's mum receives a surprise letter. A new start brings hope, and Jess makes new friends at a church youth club. But not everything goes smoothly...
