The seeds of karma drive the heart to act,

In wars of spirit and the fleshly pact;

But pure devotion breaks the heavy chain,

And turns the greatest loss to eternal gain.

The Man-Lion bursts from out the palace wall,

To catch the tyrant in his sudden fall;

Prahlada smiles amidst the fire and snake,

For God is present for the servant's sake.
