Francois Victor Alphonse Aulard was a noted historian of the French Revolution and Napoleon. One of his best known works is The French Revolution, a Political History 1789-1804. Volume I is titled "The Revolution under the Monarchy". This edition is translated by Bernard Miall and includes a table of contents.
