Akira’s starting to get used to life in the parallel world he was unwillingly dragged into, even if it’s not quite what he expected. Instead of hunting dangerous creatures, he keeps befriending them—and forget building shelters or foraging for food: the clay dolls he accidentally brought to life have that covered. With the gross curse no longer causing much trouble, Akira’s biggest problem seems to be that he’s inadvertently made himself entirely redundant!

As the seasons change, Akira searches for something to do, from hosting pizza parties to having snowball fights. But no matter how hard he tries to distract himself—and even though he’s surrounded by more animals than he can count—he can’t quite shake his growing loneliness. Seriously, aren’t there any other humans in this place?! Thankfully, an unexpected encounter might give him some of the companionship he’s been hoping for—even if it is a little furrier than he was picturing...
