An English scientist, known only as the Time Traveler, constructs a machine that allows him to move back and forth through different periods of time. Testing this machine, the man travels forward to AD 802,701. Here he discovers a lazy, non disciplined group of people who do not seem interested in anything. Thinking he has seen all he needs for his research, he decides to travel back home. Upon returning to where he left his time machine, he discovers an intelligent, violent group of people called the Morlocks, have stolen it. Seeing that this futuristic society has more secrets than he realized, the Time Traveler must find his machine and travel back to his time before an untimely end at the hands of the Morlocks.

Boken sluta för tidigt, ja trodde han skulle behöva bygga en ny maskin elr bryta sog in hos morlocksens grottor o hitta ny teknik där elr liknande det var antiklimax att han bara slog sig in till maskinen. Också konstigt att dom (civila) aldrig ansträngde sig mer för att bekräfta o ifall tidsmaskinen var en lögn elr it kunde ju anslyserat blommorna han tog me tvks o ksk bett tidsgubbrn om ritningar, intessant att läsa från 1800 tals perspektiv hur författaren trodde världen skulle se ut, lite skrämmande att vi tedan idag är mer lika dystopin än för hundr år sen

Lite Kort bok, men extremt välskriven, fascinerande och väldigt intressant. Man ser verkligen hur mycket inspiration den här boken har gett till hur vi tänker när det kommer till tidsresande, hur det skulle kunna gå till och hur det skulle kunna se ut. Wells hade väldigt intressanta teorier för 1895, specifikt om hur mänskligheten och världen i sin helhet skulle utvecklas. Som sagt, boken är inte så lång och slutet var lite hastigt. Men jag rekommenderar den starkt.
