Twelve-year-old Flavia de Luce is back at Buckshaw at last, but her homecoming is overshadowed by news of her father's illness. Story quality in the book series is declining & by the unnecessarily tragic ending of this book, it seems like that pain is what supposed to be the main attraction rather than the mystery.
