Ten cases in which Lupin is the burglar, the detective, or both: a wedding ring, a scarf that hangs a man, a signature forged in front of witnesses. Maurice Leblanc wrote a Lupin story a month for a Paris magazine and complained that his gentleman thief had eaten his career. The confessions are told after the fact, when the money is already spent.
