Om denne bog

Tarzan's son Jack, brought up in London and kept away from anything to do with Africa, finds his father's old ally, the great ape Akut, on show in a music hall and slips away with him to the jungle. After his father's enemy tries to murder him he stays there, grows up as Korak the Killer, too proud to go home, and takes under his protection Meriem, a small girl held captive by a slave-dealing sheik. Burroughs makes the boy repeat his father's education, and the repetition is the point; the Arab camp, the ape band and the English drawing room are all drawn with the same flat certainty.
