Baal Kand : in English rhyme

From Valmiki's tale, Baal Kand does sing,

Of Lord Rama's birth, the beloved king.

Dasharatha's prayers answered true,

With four sons born, a kingdom's view.

The sage Vishwamitra seeks Rama's might,

To protect his yagna from demons' night.

Rama and Lakshman with courage, strong,

Guard the rituals, righting wrongs.

The slaying of Tataka, a fierce trial,

Rama's valor known for miles.

To Mithila they journeyed, a path divine,

Where Sita's swayamvara was destined to shine.

Rama lifted Shiv's bow with ease,

Winning Sita's hand, her heart to please.

The marriage of Rama and Sita so grand,

United forever, hand in hand.
