Om den här boken

Explore Virginia Woolf's influential reflections on women, creativity, education, financial independence, and the freedom to write.

Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own examines the social and economic conditions that have historically shaped women's ability to create literature and pursue intellectual independence.

Through a blend of literary criticism, fictional examples, history, and personal reflection, Woolf considers education, income, privacy, creativity, and the barriers that can prevent women from developing their artistic potential.

First published in 1929, the work remains an influential text in literary criticism, feminist thought, and discussions of creativity and independence.

Discover Woolf's enduring argument about creativity and independence and explore one of the most influential literary essays of the twentieth century.

I think it is a valid point to make that the sentences in this book, and by that Woolf’s point, sometimes need a bit of work to dissolve in my brain. But I really like that. I have no idea how to summarise A Room of Ones Own but I really do think everyone should try to read it.
