Om den här boken

What happens when humanity's desire to conquer nature goes beyond the limits of understanding?

Enter the haunting world of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, a landmark Gothic novel exploring ambition, scientific discovery, isolation, responsibility, and the consequences of creation.

Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist driven by the desire to uncover the secrets of life, succeeds in creating a living being. But the consequences of his experiment soon become far more complicated than he imagined.

Through Victor and his creation, Shelley explores loneliness, rejection, compassion, identity, and the responsibilities that come with scientific power. The novel combines Gothic atmosphere with philosophical questions that remain remarkably relevant.

First published anonymously in 1818, Frankenstein became one of the foundational works of science fiction and Gothic literature.

Discover Mary Shelley's unforgettable story of creation, ambition, and the consequences of playing with the mysteries of life.
