Om den här boken

Betrayed by those he trusted. Imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. A man reborn with one purpose: revenge.

The Count of Monte Cristo is one of the greatest adventure novels ever written by Alexandre Dumas.

The story follows Edmond Dantès, a young sailor whose promising life is destroyed by jealousy and betrayal. Wrongfully imprisoned in the Château d'If, he spends years in isolation before escaping with a hidden fortune and a new identity. As the mysterious Count of Monte Cristo, he carefully orchestrates a plan of justice and revenge against those who ruined his life.

Rich in emotion, suspense, and dramatic twists, the novel explores themes of justice, vengeance, love, and forgiveness, set against a vivid backdrop of 19th-century France and beyond.

A masterpiece of storytelling, it remains one of the most powerful and enduring tales of transformation and revenge in world literature.
