La locura por la honda es una comedia teatral del autor Lope de Vega. En la línea de las comedias famosas del Siglo de Oro Español, se articula en torno a la historia del conde Floraberto, quien enloquece a raíz de la muerte de su esposa hasta convertirse en el hazmerreír de sus vasallos.

Félix Lope de Vega y Carpio fue un autor nacido en Madrid en 1562 y fallecido en 1635. Célebre dramaturgo y poeta, se le considera emblema del Siglo de Oro de la literatura española y uno de los autores más prolíficos de la literatura universal.
