Sample Book Insights:

#1 Procrastination is a natural procedure that people depend on in the nick of time. It is about how they will constantly agree to handle another assignment before finishing the previous one. It is not about obligation and also whether the individual can finish jobs or not. It is about wanting to handle an obstacle and also complete more jobs than the individual beside them.

#2 The prefrontal cortex manages the planning process in the mind, but the limbic system controls the amount of pleasure and also relaxation that an individual will feel. The prefrontal cortex recognizes that an assignment must be completed by a specific time if not, it will undergo a specific punishment that will make life less enjoyable.

#3 The truth is, the action that leads to more relaxation has a tendency to win each time. The closer an individual approaches a due date, the more he starts to panic because he feels that he can not kick back as much. The moment this is really felt, it is easier to keep the prefrontal cortex engaged.

#4 The part of the mind that produces adrenaline is called the amygdala. It is associated with an automatic psychological response that is activated whenever a situation that is difficult for the mind to process emerges. For example, a person can walk or drive to reach the places where he needs to go. One day, he can wind up running late, which causes him to worry and become overwhelmed.
