Memories can't be trusted... The spirit of Gerard Ross still pines for a woman he'd known for only a day before the Battle of Culloden Moor, a woman who's true name he never knew. And in what he believes is a move of unfathomable generosity, the witch allows him to leave Culloden and keep the promise he'd made to his beloved so long ago. But perhaps the witch hasn't been as generous as he supposed...
A tender-hearted lass named Assa discovers that heroes really can step out of your dreams. Or perhaps, it was a nightmare. It's a race to see whose memory clears first--but in the end, they both must win...or lose all.
