Rosa has always seen the world a little differently. She feels the emotions of colors, hears stories in music, and notices things that others seem to pass by. With her, she carries a small magical lantern whose flame seems to follow her feelings—a light that grows stronger when she finds courage and hope.
In the great city, false mirrors glitter and unseen forces whisper about who one ought to be. When a witch steps into Rosa's life, the darkness becomes harder and harder to keep at bay, and in the end she is forced to flee, the lantern held close beside her.
The path leads to the School of the Forest, a strange place deep among the trees. There, strict rules, secrets, and a boy whose eyes carry a light Rosa recognizes await her. But the journey does not end there. Beyond the forest, new paths await, along with a wizard and a world where nothing is quite what it first seems.
The farther Rosa travels, the more she comes to understand that the strongest light is not found only in the lantern. It also lives within her—in imagination, in creation, in the courage to listen to her own voice, and in the strength to walk her own path.
Rosa and the Magical Lantern is a magical story about courage, friendship, and hope—and about keeping your own light alive, even when the road grows dark.
